OUR PASTOR
Rev. Dr. R. Keith Beauchamp
Pastor R. Keith Beauchamp is the Senior Pastor of Bethel New Life Church in Wheaton, Illinois. Prior to serving this congregation, he served three other churches in the Chicagoland area for 14 years. Pastor Beauchamp was trained, licensed, and ordained at Second Baptist Church of Maywood under the direction of Pastor Wallace W. Sykes. His favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 which states, “And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.” His favorite song is “I Surrender All.” This text and song have guided his ministry for almost 25 years as he has served the community and his congregants.
Dr. Beauchamp earned his bachelor in Business Administration with a minor in Music. Pastor Beauchamp also earned degrees from Western Illinois University in Recreation Parks and Tourism with a focus in College Union Administration; Northern Baptist Theological Seminary for both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees; and as an avid life learner Dr. Beauchamp pursued a second doctorate at Benedictine University and earned his degree in Higher Education and Organizational Change. He has also done post-doctoral work at Chicago Theological Seminary.
For almost 25 years, Dr. Beauchamp has worked in Higher Education teaching, mentoring and advising students while serving as a minister of the gospel. He has received numerous awards and honors for his excellent work and is a highly requested speaker due to his unique style of delivery, which incorporates both humor and Godly wisdom.Dr. Beauchamp serves as Secretary of Education for the Progressive Baptist State Convention. He has designed and taught educational sessions for area pastors.
He resides in Streamwood, Illinois with his beautiful wife of 25 years LaVerne and their wonderful children Autumn and Adam.
